Welcome to Sandro's
New restaurant coming soon to Lyme Regis

Our Story
Tucked away off Broad Street, this intimate restaurant has the feel of dining amongst friends whilst offering exceptional food. It also offers al fresco dining during summer months.
Sandro's is very much a family affair. Owner and chef Alessandro Strillozzi first experienced the restaurant when his Italian father and English mother ran 25 years ago. Now, together with his partner Vicky Pearce, history repeats itself in a new style.
Alessandro has risen through the ranks through passion and sheer dedication, most recently having spent three years as head chef at the Michelin starred Walnut Tree Inn.
"My inspiration has come both from my Italian nonna and my father. They gave me an instinctive feel for the flavours of Tuscan cuisine, such as wild fennel, beautiful extra virgin olive oil, game, fish and Chianti.
After working in my parents' restaurant, I wanted to learn the craft of cooking. Besides cooking at River Cottage, Babington House and helping open The Gaff in Abergavenny, I travelled extensively in Asia. It sparked a passion for combining Western and Eastern flavours and has influenced the way I compose menus.
The years spent under the guidance of Shaun Hill taught me respect for technique, seasonality, provenance and restraint. The philosophy is simple; buy the best ingredients, season them properly and serve them at the correct temperature.
My partner Vicky is my rock! She's had a wide experience working front of house including the Walnut Tree. She runs things to the standards usually reserved for unsmiling Frenchmen in starched dinner jackets, but also offers a warm and relaxed welcome"

“Every dish is a labor of love, crafted with the freshest ingredients and bursting with flavor.”
